Momma Nature's Engagements

Momma Nature™, Carole Madan spoke at the Horticultural Demo Booth at the 2005 Southeastern Flower Show five times. She is available to speak to your garden club or church group on any of these concepts. The following are highlights of her talks:

Garden Clubs Make the World Go 'Round - Momma Nature™

As former President of the Doublegate Garden Club (Alpharetta), Momma Nature™ loves encouraging both the novice and expert gardener. Specific fail safe plants will be discussed. A hand out of her speech includes drought tolerant perennial plants, trees and shrubs she recommends.

Earth Friendly Gardening -by Momma Nature™

Ever wonder what plants are best to share with your children and grandchildren? How about concepts that you can use to teach all generations a love of the natural world? Momma Nature™ goes to schools, churches, civic and garden clubs to talk about this and more. You'll come away with a renewed sense of hope. An environmentalist since the age of seven, the trees she preserved still stand in her hometown of Greensboro, NC. Her son learned how to count with swallowtail butterfly caterpillars on parsley and fern leaf fennel. Her television show, Momma Nature's World™ will highlight native plant gardens and the healers who use plants to cure their cultures. Footage has already been taken in New Zealand's North and South Islands. With over 40 years of gardening experience, Carole Madan, Momma Nature™, is an expert plantswoman who can dish the dirt with the best of 'em!

Creating a Wonderful Wilderness In Your Suburban Garden

Nuts and fruits and berries will bring in all sorts of wonders to your home. Not afraid to call deer into your reality so you can watch a mother and fawn at dawn, feeding on the plants you offer? How about hawks, owls, fifteen types of birds and salamanders? You already have snakes, frogs and lizards if you have a toxic free garden/environment like Momma Nature™ does, but would you like to ensure you have ideal conditions for wildlife? Ms. Madan will offer suggestions for the creation of a Backyard Wildlife Habitat as itemized by the National Wildlife Federation. Native, non-invasive species will be recommended. Invasive species will be briefly discussed so you won't get in trouble when you submit your plant list to qualify for the Backyard Wildlife Habitat certification program. Forms and booklets on the subject, are available from the National Wildlife Federation.
